On October 18, Bruce Downton, President of Macquarie University, Australia, with his group visited WHU for discussing the expansion of cooperation between the two schools in the field of audiology.
Feng Youmei, Executive Vice President of WHU met with the guests. She introduced the international exchange condition of WHU, stating that the two schools can cooperate from the establishment of joint postgraduate training of audiology, combined with the advantages of both medical disciplines, actively explore and carry out cooperation in audiology research, rehabilitation professional education, joint postgraduate training, and development model of audiology.
Downton introduced Macquarie University’s research strength in Phonetic Hearing Clinic and Audiology Research Center, and hoped to make further cooperation with WHU in the field of medical talent training and scientific research, especially in the field of the education, scientific research and clinic of audiology.
Macquarie University, located in Sydney, founded in 1964, is a university with enterprising spirit and great influence. The university has a comprehensive range of research projects and world-class facilities in the field of audiology, including the first children's MEG equipment (brain magnetic imaging equipment) and anechoic chamber in the world.
