On the afternoon of October 17, Chris Butland, Consul of Trade and Investment of the British Consulate General in Wuhan, Lin Yifang, Official of Trade and Investment on health care and life science visited WUSM.

   At the meeting, Butland had a discussion with Feng Youmei, Executive Vice President of WHU and Dean of WUSM on student exchanges, joint training, scientific and technological achievements conversion, business cooperation, hospital construction. Butland spoke highly of WUSM’s international cooperation, teaching and scientific research, hoping WUSM will carry out broader international cooperation. Feng Youmei said that WUSM will vigorously promote international cooperation with British institutions of higher learning in the fields of basic medicine, nursing and clinic, and actively carry out exchanges and cooperation mainly consisting of student visits, joint training, faculty training.

   It is reported that the Department of International Trade of the British Consulate General in Wuhan, is committed to actively promote the cooperation between Wuhan and Britain’s universities, enterprises in life sciences, medical education, and medical infrastructure, in order to achieve a win-win situation.
