    The Lecture on the Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress was Held at WUSM

    On November 17th, the lecture on the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress was held in Yubi Hall. Professor Hu Dekun, former Vice President of Wuhan University, Director of National Territorial Sovereignty and Marine Rights Center, Member of the 19th CPC National Congress Spirit Education Delegation of WHU, gave a lecture on “the Historic Perspective of Xi Jinping’s Diplomacy of Great Powers with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era “. Jiang Ming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of WUSM, hosted the lecture. More than 300 teachers and students attended the lecture.

    During the lecture, Professor Hu Dekun gave a comprehensive and systematic explanation of diplomacy of great powers with Chinese characteristics in the new era put forward at the 19th CPC National Congress. He pointed out that Xi Jinping's new concept of the era mainly includes peace, development, cooperation and win-win situations. On this basis, China will constantly innovate in the world development model, and promote the establishment of a new international order and international relations with win-win cooperation as the core.

    Professor Hu elaborated Xi Jinping’s neighborhood diplomacy, taking the case of the Hague Conference and the arbitration case of the South China Sea as examples. Besides, he affirmed that the diplomacy fully embodies the theme of the times with Chinese characteristics and the universal values, which will have a far-reaching impact on evolution of the whole world and will surely make a significant contribution to the development of mankind.

    Jiang Ming concluded that with abundant historical materials and clear structure, Professor Hu clearly explains the connotation of diplomacy of great powers with Chinese characteristics in the new era. He encouraged audience to take this lecture as an opportunity to study the report of the 19th CPC National Congress and make concrete contributions to the reform and development of medical education.
