On May 30th, the national moral model Dong Ming gave a report titled “Don’t Let Life Take away Your Faith” for the 14th lecture of Luojia Xinglin Humanities Forum.

    In the lecture, Dong Ming talked about her special life experience around three key words: follow the original heart, keep moving and pursue the dream.

    Dong Ming was selected as a member of a diving team at the age of 6 and unfortunately fell into high paraplegia at the age of 9. She has been issued a critically ill notice by the doctor several times. However, she overcame the difficulties that ordinary people could not imagine and spent 10 years in self-study, which finally leads her to became an excellent teacher in university.

    After listening to the report, students were impressed by Dong Ming’s spirit, promising that they would try their best to dedicate themselves to the society and face the challenges in life with a more positive attitude. (translated by Wang Dingying; Wu Xia)
