On June 21st, MUSM held a meeting for Sino-French Medical Class graduates. Ms. Anne BRUANT-BISSON, Counselor of the French Embassy in China; Yu Xiangting, Executive Vice Dean of MUSM; Xiong Ying, Vice Dean of MUSM and Zhao Yan, Vice Dean of Second School of Clinical Medicine attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yu Baoping, Vice Dean of MUSM.
Yu Xiangting expressed earnest expectations to graduates, hoping that they would always remember the spirits of “revering life, respecting science, caring patients and perfecting medical skills” and keep an assiduous attitude in working.
BRUANT-BISSON congratulated the students on opening a new chapter in life and affirmed that the Embassy will support the cooperation between Wuhan University and University of Lorraine constantly. It is hoped that the two universities will carry out further exchange in talent cultivation, training for young doctors, and scientific research.
Professor Stoltz, from University of Lorraine said, “The cooperation between the two universities has lasted for 22 years. Since the beginning of the Sino-French Medical Class in 2001, we insisted on student exchanges, personnel training, scientific cooperation, which thanks to the unremitting efforts of the two sides. In the future, I hope that the two universities will improve communication”.
Professor Zhang Xiaolian, from MUSM, shared his life experience with graduates and put forward five suggestions: constantly exploring and thinking; adapting to the environment; keeping modesty and self-confidence; maintaining optimism; being grateful.
The graduate representative Feng Shuwen shared her study experience in Sino-French Medical Class. She said: “Thanks to the professors from University of Lorraine, who came to Wuhan to give us lessons. We have witnessed the achievements of Sino-French educational cooperation. We will strive to become the talents for our country”.
