At the 10th Chinese Pharmaceutical Students’ Creativity Forum held in Guangzhou, Wang Chenlu, student from the School of Pharmacy, was awarded the first prize of Innovation Achievement and the Outstanding Thesis Award. Liu Jiayi won the second prize of Innovation Achievement. The instructors were Professor Chen Zailin and Cheng Lin.
The result of Wang Chenlu is entitled "Solid Phase Microextraction Technology Based on Etched Polyetheretherketone Tube and Its Application Research in Alkaloid Drug Analysis". The new method of solid-phase microextraction based on polyetheretherketone is of great significance for improving the extraction efficiency of alkaloids and the development of new sample pretreatment technologies in the field of drug analysis.
Liu Jiayi's project titled "Artificial synthesis of the new anti-cancer epothilone gene cluster and its high expression in Streptomyces" aims to improve the yield of epothilone in order to put it into industrial production.
The Chinese Pharmaceutical Students’ Creativity Forum is a platform for Chinese pharmaceutical students to exchange ideas, aiming at cultivating students' ability of innovation and displaying students' innovative experimental results.
