On January 26, 2017 China Medical Science and Technology Awards Presentation Ceremony was held in Beijing. The teams of Professor Chen Liaobin Zhongnan from Zhongnan Hospital and Professor Li Chengzhang from Hospital of Stomatology are on the award list.

Since its establishment in 2001, China Medical Science and Technology Award has selected a total of 1369 medical research achievements by January 2018. It becomes the bridge between the government and the medical scientists , creating a good atmosphere of advocating science, respecting talents and promoting the transformation of medical science and technology achievements.

The award ceremony was hosted by the Chinese Medical Association and the China International Medical Exchange Foundation and organized by the Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group. A total of 86 medical scientific research achievements were awarded, including 9 first prizes, 23 second prizes, 50 third prizes, and 2 health management awards and 2 medical science popularization awards. Professor Chen Liaobin’s project "Innovative Research and Clinical Applications of Joint Disease Treatment " and Professor Li Chengzhang’s project "Periodontitis Host Regulation and Clinical Occlusion Intervention" both won the third prize.
