Recently, WHU won 2 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze medals and the Award for Advanced Collective in total in the 5th "Internet +" Contest, among which MUSM won 2 gold and 1 silver medals, and Professor He Xiaohua from School of Basic Medical Sciences was granted by the Best Supervisor for the outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship.

Hu Zeyi, from First School of Clinical Medicine, and Zhang Lianglu, from School of Basic Medical Sciences are the heads of the " Pocket-sized Ultrasound " project and "Ammulifetech - the Chinese Power of Vanishing Cancer via Early Detection" project respectively and they won the gold award. Xia Tian and her team’s “Chitin Medical Dressings – Medical Applications for Recyclable Waste Resources” project won the silver award.

The 5th China "Internet +" Contest was co-sponsored by 12 central institutions under the Ministry of Education and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government.
