On December 5th , the 6th Clinical Skill Competition forClinical Medical Students was held in MUSM.

Liu Wenli, Professor of Tongji Medical College of HUST(Huazhong University of Science and Technology), was invited as President of the Competition and Professor Xiong Shixi, Director of Clinical Skills Center of Medical Department of MUSM, was invited to give on-site commentary. Yu Xiangting, Executive Vice Dean of MUSM; Yu Baoping, Vice Dean of MUSM; Xiong Ying, Vice Dean of MUSM; Luo Tiehui, Vice Dean of MUSM;Wang Weixing, Deputy Secretary of First School of Clinical Medicine; Zhang Junjian, Deputy Dean of Second School of Clinical Medicine; Yang Mang, Director of Teaching Office of School of Clinical Medicine; Yu Zhitao and Chen Zhiqiao attended the opening ceremony.

According to the requirements of the teaching syllabus of clinical skills, this competition combines the medical theory with the operation of clinical skills, and comprehensively inspects the students’ clinical knowledge, adaptability, humanistic care and teamwork spirits. At the same time, the competition can be broadcast to students and teachers to learn and make comments.

This competition has produced 1 group first prize, 2second prizes, 3 third prizes and 9 single prizes.

At the closing ceremony, Professor Liu Wenli commented on the competition. He gave highly praise tothe orderly organization, scientific proposition and excellent performance of the contestants in this competition. At the same time, he also mentioned some weaknesses that students can be improved such asunsubstantial basic knowledge, and insufficient humanistic care, etc.
