17 years later, facing the NCP, at the age of 58, he once again take the mission and insisted on the "one person, one method" precision treatment for each patient every day. While actively treating patients, he also tried to find ways to provide patients with life security and care.

Under the leadership of Gong Zuojiong, the medical team of Infectious Diseases treated the patients with NCP carefully, and 47 cured patients have been discharged smoothly.

Gong Zuojiong also actively controlled the epidemic situation of Yunmeng County Hospital and County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital through the Internet and telephone, provided professional guidance and technical support, and effectively enhanced the local epidemic prevention and control level.
