On the morning of February 15, 2022, the donation ceremony for the Zhu Yubi Medical Award was held at Wuhan University School of Medicine, and Deng Xiaomei, the Director of Alumni Affairs and Development Liaison Office, conferred the donation certificate to Wang Xinghuan, the President of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. Participants included the delegates from the WUSM and Zhongnan Hospital.

As the highest level award in the field of medicine of WHU, Zhu Yubi Medical Award was initiated by academician Li Deren and established by the donations from the relatives of Professor Zhu Yubi, the alumni of WHU and affiliated hospitals of WHU. The award was first presented in 2003 at the 60th anniversary of WUSM, and has been presented for 9 times since then, benefiting 94 students and faculty members.

On the morning of December 29, 2021, the donation ceremony of Zhu Yubi Fund was held, and Mr. Li Deren and Mrs. Zhu Yixuan donated 200,000 Yuan again for Zhu Yubi Fund. Deeply touched by the spirit of the senior medical experts and the two professors, President Wang Xinghuan decided to donate 200,000 yuan, which he gained from the second prize of National Science and Technology in 2021, to Zhu Yubi Fund.

On December 30, 2021, President Wang donated 200,000 RMB to Zhu Yubi Fund in his personal name to commemorate Zhu Yubi's outstanding contribution to medical education, in the hope to carry forward Zhu Yubi's passion for the country and WHU, as well as his persistent pursuit and dedication to medicine.
