On the morning of April 24, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University and School of Public Health Wuhan University held

a meeting, in which the two sides signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation and jointly inaugurated the Institute of Public Health Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University.

Focusing on the national demand of building a strong public health system, the Institute aims to promote the implementation of Healthy China Initiative, to build an interdisciplinary innovation platform between public health and clinical medicine, to accumulate interdisciplinary talents and resources, thus vigorously promoting high-quality development, and enhancing the health of the people.

Secretary Wan Honghui delivered his congratulation for the signing of the agreement and the establishment of the Institute. He said that the signing of the agreement is the milestone for the development and research of public health of Wuhan University.

President Wang Gaohua, on behalf of the leaders and staff of Renmin Hospital, welcomed all the expert. He said that the signing of this cooperation is another fruitful result of the recent cooperation between Renmin Hospital and the colleges of Wuhan University.

Secretary Zhu Junyong said that innovation is always the unswerving pursuit of WHUers, and the Institute shoulder the special mission of exploring the integrated mechanism of disease control and serving national strategies.

President Miao Xiaoping expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the significant contributions made by Renmin Hospital in serving people's health, fighting against the Covid-19 Pandemic and so on. He also delivered his utmost thanks to Renmin Hospital for the top priority given to the cooperation between the two parties.

Afterwards, Renmin Hospital and School of Public Health Wuhan University held a signing ceremony for the framework agreement of strategic cooperation, with President Wang Gaohua and President Miao Xiaoping signing the agreement on behalf of the two parties respectively.
