On May 9th, MUSM invited Yang Wei, Director of Wuhan Fire Protection Technology Consulting Center, to give a lecture on knowledge of fire safety. More than 100 people attended the event.
In the lecture, Yang Wei introduced the basic knowledge of fire safety with the case in detail, and talked about the daily fire management, fire protection, common sense of evacuation, and the use of fire equipment. He emphasized the complexity of the laboratory, requiring teachers and students to select appropriate fire-fighting equipment according to the actual situation. Meanwhile, according to the situation on campus, he introduced the cause of the accident and its harm, combined with the knowledge of the use of electricity, gas and fire in work and life.
Through this lecture, our teachers’ awareness of fire safety was strengthened, and the fire safety skills was enhanced, which played an active role in deepening the construction of the “safe campus”. (translated by Wang Dingying and Wu Xia)
