He pointed out that Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University has made outstanding contributions in the previous medical treatment work, especially in the diagnosis of new pneumonia, and is highly affirmed by the National Health and Medical Commission.

Ma Xiaowei emphasized that the current task of prevention and treatment of the new pneumonia epidemic is arduous and the mission is great. The top national medical institutions in Hubei, represented by Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, should take on the mission in this important battle, and further improve the ability to treat patients with new pneumonia. Ma introduced that besides the earlier deployment of the Xinjiang medical team, the National Health Commission has now urgently dispatched the Zhejiang medical team headed by Academician Li Lanjuan, and three medical teams including Sichuan, Liaoning, and Chongqing with 500 people to support Renmin Hospital East District. The team will fully supports the Hospital to carry out the treatment of patients with new pneumonia. In the next step, the National Health Commission will also coordinate all parties to guarantee the material supplies of the Hospital.

Wang Gaohua sincerely thanked the National Health and Medical Commission for their recognition of the epidemic prevention and control work of Wuhan University Renmin Hospital. He stated, as a pioneer and backbone in the fight against the new pneumonia epidemic, Renmin Hospital must fulfill its mission and meet the requirements by the National Health and Medical Commission, integrate high-quality resources in the hospital, and cooperate fully with various medical teams to bring together the best soldiers to fight the war.
