Wang Gaohua, President of Renmin Hospital, introduced the relevant situation of COVID19. As the designated hospital for the treatment of critically ill patients with COVID19, the Eastern District of Wuhan University Renmin Hospital cooperates with more than 1,600 doctors and nurses from 13 medical teams across 10 provinces and cities nationwide. Up to now, 1395 people with COVID19 have been treated in the East District, 350 patients have been discharged, and 695 patients are currently in hospital.

Wang Gaohua especially thanked Academician Li Lanjuan for her outstanding contributions. From February 2 to the present, Academician Li Lanjuan of Zhejiang Medical Team led the team to the East District, using new technology and method to guide the rescue of critically ill patients in the critical care department and CCU ward, and achieved outstanding results.

2,040 female medical staff joined the epidemic prevention and control work in East District Renmin Hospital, including 1,097 female medical team members from other provinces.
